HGTV Design Star 2007 Winner Is!
Challenge 7, the final competition was very exciting. I personally liked Kim over Todd through-out the design challenges and guess what? Kim is the winner of the HGTV's Design Star 2007!
Congrats to Kim. She came in with the least designing experience among all and she made it happen. I'm very proud of her and I was really glad to see her win the challenge.
The final challenge, "Island Dreams" was to re-design two small condos in Hawaii. Kim's concept of design was "Tropical Punch Suite" and Todd designed a room with ocean-inspirations.

Every single year my husband and I watch your program where the next Design Star is chosen. Then we eagerly await the programs that the new Design Star tapes.
What happened to the Design Star of 2008? We actually voted for the man to win….I don’t remember his name, but he lived in LA and was originally from Colorado Springs. Anyway we have been waiting and waiting for the gal….who won….the gal from the Kansas City area…..to start her new shows. Where are they? We haven’t seen even one advertised nor have we been able to view a program.
If things fell through with her, why don’t you give the opportunity to the runner-up?
Now, you are beginning to advertise for people to try out for the new Design Star and we haven’t even seen the Design Star for 2008 yet? What gives?
