HGTV Design Star 2007

Yes, it's true. HGTV's popular program, "Design Star Season 2" is about to begin. The Design Star Season 1 was a blast. My wife and I watched all episodes. I'm really glad HGTV decided to broadcast season 2 so soon. The first air will be on July 22, 2007. Which is about 9 days from today. I can't wait.

The first show will be held in Las Vegas and the host will be Clive Pearse. And the judges will be Martha McCully, Cynthia Rowley, and Vern Yip.

    yes! i’m about as excited as you are for design star. i work with hgtv and i was lucky enough to watch the premiere casting episode. and let me be the first to tell you that this is guna be a really good season. the competition looks pretty fierce. i know you’ll be tuning in, but on the 8th episode you can vote for who you want in the finals, check out the website http://www.hgtv.com/designstar :D

    I am from the Orlando area and have considered from the first show that Rob is an embarassment to our area and without a doubt the most obnoxious human I have ever witnessed. I cannot believe it has taken this long to remove such an abusive personality. I am amazed that you subjected the rest of the contestants to such a rude, crude abbrasive person. Talent is no excuse for his behavior. Thank heaven I will not have to see him again. J. Mosley

    I THINK THAT EVEN AT THIS STAGE OF THE COMPETITION, THE FIRST YEAR’S FINALISTS, ALICE AND DAVID, ARE GOING TO BE A VERY HARD ACT TO FOLLOW FOR THE CONTESTENTS REMAINING IN THE 2007 SEASON. AMONG
    THESE FINALIST’S,THEY JUST MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO CARRY THE SHOW AS WE NOW KNOW IT. I DON’T SEE THAT ANY OF THEM CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO LAST YEAR’S FINALISTS AND EVEN AFTER A NEW “DESIGNSTAR” IS CROWNED IN THE SECOND SEASON, I DON’T SEE THE KIND OF “DESIGNSTAR” TALENTS EMERGING. IT COULD PROVE TO BE A MERE EXERCISE ON THE NETWORKS PART JUDGING BY THE LACK LUSTER FINALISTS WE’LL HAVE TO VOTE ON. TO GET A QUALITY VIEWING EXPERIENCE FOR HGTV’S REGULAR LOYAL VIEWERS (I AM ONE FOR SURE) I HOPE THAT THE ACTUAL WINNER THIS YEAR WILL KEEP US TUNED IN AND INTERESTED FOR THE LONG HAUL.

    I HOPE I’M WRONG ABOUT MY OPINION, AND THAT WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A FRESH DESIGNSTAR TALENT FOR 2007!
