It all started back in March 16, 2007 when Menu Foods announced pet food recall on dog and cat food. Since then, Menu Foods announced a series of recalls on their dog and cat foods.

In March, they recalled more than 60-million cans of pouches of pet food. Those are supplied by Chem-Nutra, the importer of the melamine-tainted ingredient. Common symptoms include diarrhea, lethargy, anorexia, vomiting, and changes in water consumption and urination habits. The lethal feature of the toxin is kidney failure.

Are you a victim of welding rod fumes? Welding rod fumes contain high levels of Manganese, which can lead to Manganese poisoning. Studies show that inhaling welding rod fumes can substantially increase the risk of Parkinson's disease and Parkinsonism caused by welding fumes. Welding rod litigation got people's attention when a $1 award was given to a welder back in 2003. The person won the case over the welding manufacturer who knew about the risks of the serious injuries and failing to warn welders.

If you think you are a victime of welding fumes, find a lawyer in your town.

Bipolar disorder, also sometimes called manic-depressive disorder, is a mood disorder in which a person experiences episodes of mania without other etiologies to rule out the diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Also, possible, and more commonly known, is to have extreme shifts in mood between depression and manic euphoria. These "cycles" which vary in speed, can sometimes affect the victim's levels of motivation, energy, and functioning, can be disabling.

The DSM lists two main types of bipolar disorder (recognized clinically as Bipolar I and Bipolar II), the former of which features more marked mania, along with possible diagnoses of a "single non-recurring manic episode" which may not be called "bipolar disorder".

Treatment of disabling bipolar disorder is with mood stabilizers, prominently lithium salts or some anticonvulsants.

According to IOL, China isn't planning on closing its border over bird flu. Liu Jianchao, the foreign ministry spokesman informed that the government is making all efforts to combat bird flu, which is a serious epidemic in China. So far, China has reported only one human fatality, but China will do whatever it takes to prevent bird flu.

Here is the full news.

China says no plan to close border over bird flu

China will step up measures to combat its “serious epidemic” of bird flu, but has no plan to shut its borders to contain the disease, a foreign ministry official today.

“The government is making all efforts to combat bird flu, which is a serious epidemic in China,” said foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.

China yesterday reported two new poultry outbreaks – the country’s 16th and 17th in recent weeks – amid a nationwide effort to vaccinate billions of poultry against the virulent H5N1 strain of the virus.

China has reported one human fatality, plus the death of a girl who was a suspected case.

“We are still facing serious challenges in terms of prevention of bird flu,” Liu said.

“We will step up our efforts in order to resolve this bird flu issue as soon as possible.”

Experts fear that the H5N1 virus could mutate into a form that can easily be passed from human to human, sparking a pandemic.

“I have yet to hear anything about a border closing plan,” Liu said.

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddie’s widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.
